Loving via Prayer - Day 4

I'm realizing as I pray for my Papa-son in these specific ways I need to grow in so many areas myself. I want to be a wife that joyfully submits and makes it easy for my prince to lead. I want to be more of an encourager and less of a nagger who can point out every single thing he has ever done wrong. Oh, the Lord is good to bring conviction, isn't He? Yes, the discipline of the Lord is for those He loves. And He loves me!

Alright, on to DAY 4 of the Prayer Challenge from Revive Our Hearts!

Day 4:
Pray that your husband will grow in leadership skills in your relationship - protecting and providing for you.
Pray that he will lead you wisely and love you sacrificially, so that God will be glorified in your marriage.

Scripture to read and meditate on:
Ephesians 5:25-29 (I'm adding verses 30-33!)
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Colossians 3:19
Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
