pops....
so much going on.
vicious-sounding coughs... diarrhea... constant nose drainage... ~$5K worth of work being done in the basement... double hernia recovery...
plus the usual stuff. three meals a day, dirty clothes, bathing kiddos, disciplining and training kiddos, and the like.
but i didn't forget. i didn't forget... ONE HUNDRED. 100.
HAPPY ONE HUNDRED MONTH ANNIVERSARY, my prince!

Thirteen is a Good Number
I'm thirteen today!
Okay, I'm really 35 years old but today marks THIRTEEN YEARS of me walking with and trusting in the Savior. Happy Spiritual Birthday to me!
Does that sound weird to you that I actually celebrate this event? Can I share why I purposely celebrate March 9th every year?
First, here's a conversation between my son, J-man and I that took place yesterday:
Me: I am so glad Jesus saved me from my sins, kids! I am so thankful that He saved me!
Joshua: Mommy, what did you use to worship before you worshipped God?
Me: Wow! That's an excellent question! Well, I use to worship myself sometimes. I would also worship other people or things at other times. That's the truth. But that's why I am so thankful that He saved me! You know what He did? He washed me clean from all my sin when I turned from my sin and trusted in Him!
Joshua: That had been a question I had always wanted to ask you.
So, I celebrate God's miraculous transformation in my life.
I remember that it was He who changed me... it was not my own doing.
I recall who I was prior to that precious day and where I was going had He not intervened.
I share with others the hope I have in Him.
And so, I celebrate... and trust Him to finish His work in me, despite me.
Yes, thirteen IS a good number!

Wanna March to the Cross Together?
Ran to the store real quick before Papa-son left for work and was listening to KLOVE on the drive. They were challenging listeners to prepare for Easter during the month of March. What a great idea!
(Note: I love listening to Christian radio in my short drives around town with the kiddos. I know the impact it had on me when I was a new Christian. In fact, even before my conversion. So, I love to support them and listen to the different Christian radio stations in my area.)
Here's what I intend to do to March to the Cross:
~ Set my kitchen timer for 45 minutes.
~ Pick up a book, an article, or THE BOOK (aka The Bible) the points me to the Cross.
~ Share what I did during my time with my Papa-son, kiddos, and/or you!
Also, our pastors are encouraging us to memorize certain passages to help us better understand, remember and live out the Gospel as we approach Easter. I will be working on these during my Quiet Times and with the kiddos. Papa-son is doing this as well. Great for accountability!
Here's this week's Scripture Memory focus:
John 1:1-2, 14 ESV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
SOOOO... what are YOU doing to prepare for Easter?

Loving via Prayer - 2 Days Left?
How'd you do with the Prayer Challenge? I hate to admit it, but I didn't do as well as I had hoped. (For the full list, do go to Revive Our Hearts for your own copy of this excellent resource!)
The good thing is ANY time investment in praying for my man is always valuable, God-honoring, and high-yielding. It is valuable because God always blesses my time in prayer and there is nothing more valuable than MORE time with Jesus. It is always God-honoring because I show my dependence on Him. It is high-yielding because I see more of what God has been doing in my man and in my heart as more of my sin is exposed. So, there is no need for me to feel like I failed, eh?
And though the time is just about over, there are still two days we have to end well. Shall we begin?

Day 30
Pray that your husband will serve God and others with pure motives.
Pray that he will obey the Lord from his heart, and glorify Him in everything.
Scripture to consider:
1 Cor. 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
John 7:17-18
If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Day 31
Pray that your husband will recognize the lies of the Enemy in his life.
Pray that his attitudes and actions will be guided by the truth as he brings his thoughts into captivity to the Word of God.
Scripture to consider:
John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
